Located at the Mojave Air and Space Port, the location offers security, tower support, fire support and a fuel farm. The airport is a TSA compliant facility with a close circuit camera motion sensitive surveillance system. It is double fenced with magnetic gate pass entry and 24/7 roving patrol. The tower is open from 0700-1700 M-F. The airport also offers crash and rescue services available from 0700 – 1700 M-F. Fuel can be provided from the fuel farm from 0700-1700 M-F and on the weekend on request. Customers must set up fueling with the airport directly. The airport does not have a customs service, but can be prearranged upon request.
Storage
FTA is the sole proprietor of stored aircraft at the Mojave Air and Space Port, offering a non- corrosive environment to a variety of aircraft: small, narrow, and wide body. FTA has the capability to store in accordance with the manufacturers storage program, or on FTA’s FAA approved storage program.
FTA will tear down an aircraft when the customer decides that parting out would be more economically desirable. A list of specific items to be removed and hull disposal can be easily handled by experienced technicians.
Aircraft can be put in active or inactive status, short or long term. Many airlines and leasing companies use desert storage for aircraft waiting to be inducted into existing fleets or for aircraft returning off of lease, waiting for a new customer. FTA can assist the new owners with the required maintenance and interior tasks desired.
